At Desert Bloom Yoga, our teaching is anchored in a lineage of studentship, supported by intelligent alignment and offered up with humor and humility.
We utilize both form and flow: held poses, intrinsic core work and vinyasa (moving from one pose to the next in succession). Our teaching is rooted in a non-dual philosophy of intrinsic goodness which holds that the physical body is a vehicle for transformation, devotion, creativity, expression and service.
We aim to honor each student and their needs – to meet each student where they are and discover how these practices can serve them most effectively.
We cultivate a place of sanctuary – a safe and supportive space to explore the full spectrum of who we are through the miracle of embodiment. This supportive space is enlivened by the “good company” of a sustained community of practitioners.
“It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for,
And if you dare to dream of meeting
Your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
For love, for your dream,
For the adventure of being alive.”
